Handling, power and flexibility for expansive materials

AVOS 141 and AVOS 181 horizontal balers combine excellent engineering with an extended lifespan. A wide variety of materials can be processed precisely and just as desired. For highly expensive materials, the filling hopper can be extended with an additional compaction space. The baler can be fed either manually or continuously and evenly by means of a conveyor belt. Manual binding using prefabricated quick-tie wires ensures a constant bale length.

The semi-automated horizontal baler AVOS 141 is perfectly suitable to compact cardboard, paper, plastics, and other recyclable materials. State of the art technology according to the C standard for horizontal balers published in 2013 (DIN EN 16252).

  • The frame of the machine consists of a solid welded construction and is provided for the fastening on the floor with dowels.
  • Rapid motion/power speed control system as well as an automatic speed adaptation, depending on the necessary pressing power, for the increase of the throughput capacity.
  • Cutting knives on the force plate and on the counter plate for cutting off the overhanging material in the hopper section. Temper of the knives: 56 + 4 HRC.
  • Press ram guiding with low-maintenance plastic guides, highly wear-resisting, and indifferent to dust.
  • Force plate channel laterally made of 15 mm sheet steel S235JRG2C+C for longevity.
  • Screwed press bottom made of wear-resistant 15 mm sheet steel NAXTRA 70 for easy replacement.
  • Press ram cover for continuous feeding.
  • Press channel with hydraulically lockable door at the end.

  • Oil/Air cooling unit for the hydraulic oil.

  • Material re-holder:
    To optimize the pressing process, for highly expanding material, as, for example, foil, PET-bottles etc. The re-holders (1 pair = 2 pieces) are fitted flexibly in order to guarantee a safe pressing.
  • Hydraulically driven flap:
    Designed as two pre-press plates, in order to press material into the feeding chamber. In this case there is no shear blade operation. Via selection switch the hydraulically driven flaps can be deactivated at any time.
  • Cross binding:
    Manual cross binding with quick-tie wires, 4-fold vertical and 3-fold horizontal.
  • Binding wire:
    Designed as quick-tie wire
    Diameter: approx. 3 mm, breaking load: 1400 – 1700 N/mm²
    Wire length for vertical binding: 3750 mm
    Wire length for horizontal binding (with cross-binding option): 4450 mm
  • Oil heating
    To pre-heat the hydraulic oil, for temperatures < 6°C; power: 1,000 watts.
  • Oil/Air cooling unit
    To cool the hydraulic oil. If the balers’ constant operating time is > 60 %, oil/air cooling is necessary.
  • Remote access:
    Through an industrial router in connection with an M2M SIM-card, an interface is created with the control unit of the machine so that the inputs and outputs of the SPS can be displayed in an internet portal. Running costs according to tariff or by network cable provided locally.
  • Hook mobile frame:
    To transport the baler via roll-off truck or, due to the transport height of approximately 3,000 mm, per container trailers. The lance is folded for transport. The hopper has to be disassembled for transportation, if necessary (depending on model). The bale slide contains the hook eye and is mounted foldable on the machine.
  • Inclined conveyor belt
    To feed the baler, designed as a sliding belt conveyor.
    The belt supporting structure is a solid welded torsion reinforced steel construction for fastening with dowels.
    The conveyor belt is designed as rubber belt with fabric insert and attachments.
